North Hills

Kings Dining and Entertainment

Kings Dining and Entertainment in Raleigh is like an adult version of Chuck E Cheese. Instead of cheap pizza and tokens, you’ll find a more upscale version of comfort and bar food favorites like Baja Chicken Tacos and Buffalo Chicken Wontons and their own line of hand-crafted cocktails. For entertainment, there’s billiards, shuffleboard, bowling (and more!) and you can relive the 1980’s in King’s “retrocade” where you can play Pacman, MarioKart and more of your childhood favorites.

Quail Ridge Books

Everyone’s favorite local bookstore, Quail Ridge is unlike other books stores you’ve been in. Barnes and Noble and Amazon made it really hard for independent books stores like Quail Ridge to compete but the heart of the owner and passion of the employees makes this place really special and has allowed it to grow into a new larger location in North Hills. Visit for one of their many events or just to pick up a new copy for your bookshelf.

North Hills Theatre

If you want to take in a movie after dinner, the North Hills Theatre, Regal Cinema, is ideally located among popular restaurants and shopping venues. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. They show the most popular new releases, offer dollar movies in the summer for kids and matinees throughout the week.

North Hills Restaurants

North Hills is home to many popular and unique restaurants. Seriously, there are a heckuva a lot of amazing restaurants crammed into a couple of city blocks. Choose form healthy favorites like Happy + Hale or Grabbagreen, or if something less woo-woo is your style, check out Fox and Hound Bar and Grill or Which Which’s Superior Sandwiches. And don’t forget dessert! Try Edible Bakery and Dessert Cafe, Kilwins or Crepe Traditions to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Renaissance North Hills

The Renaissance is the hotel I always recommend for Raleigh visitors. It is right in the middle of everything, walkable to all kinds of nightlife, restaurants, shopping and activities. And really gives you a great feel for what it’s like to be in Raleigh. If you have guests traveling to visit you in Raleigh, the Renaissance is just off 440 and convenient to everything. If you’re visiting Raleigh for your relocation, this is a great spot to make your home-base while you house hunt.

Quail Hollow is within reach of many schools in the area. Millbrook Elementary and Douglas Elementary are both options within close proximity to the neighborhood.
