DISCOVER FLOWERS PLANTATION
Resting next to the Neuse River, Flowers Plantation is a beautifully kept neighborhood with impressive properties that’s rich with amenities. It's the largest planned community in the Triangle! A brilliant white concrete wall engraved with “Flowers Plantation” welcomes you into the neighborhood, before you’re introduced to the swimming pool pavilion and in-house style shopping center. The roads are comfortably wide and wind through the extent of the development and connect with several main roads in the area, allowing residents ease of travel.
Where Is It?
Flowers Plantation is located 20 miles south east of Raleigh and roughly 30 miles south west of Wilson. This provides residents with a manageable commute in and out of these cities, as well as a centralized location in proximity to Clayton. Interstate 42 runs directly south of Flowers Plantation, and Buffalo Road runs to the east. Additionally, the Neuse River bends around the neighborhood’s southwest side.
What’s To Do?
There’s lots to do if you’re living in Flowers Plantation. The neighborhood swimming pool is sure to keep residents’ long summer hours occupied and cool from the warm North Carolina sun. The pool’s pavilion provides washrooms and shade for parents to relax under while keeping an eye on their children, or maybe just for a lunch break. Within walking distance of Flowers Plantation is the Neuse Golf Club, which provides players in the area with a well maintained retreat for experienced and new golfers alike. A short drive west into Clayton brings you to the Clayton Community Park, which is full of fun activities to take part in. Among the attractions are a lake, playground, sports fields, and paved walking/biking paths. If the weather doesn’t allow outdoor fun or you need a break from the sun, The Clayton Center is just a few minutes away. The Clayton Center is an auditorium and concert hall that hosts shows, comedy routines, and other public conventions. Additionally, Flowers Plantation itself has a large pond that’s a perfect spot to watch the sunset from and enjoy a picnic beside.
Shopping and Dining
Inside Flowers Plantation there’s a small shopping center, close to the I-42 side of the neighborhood. Included in the storefront is Food Lion, Subway, and Creighton Manor Interiors. If you have a pet, it’s good to note there’s Plantation Animal Hospital next door, inside the neighborhood. On the other side of the development, there’s a Harris Teeter, CVS, Petco, and Asia Café for convenient walk-to shopping and dining.
Schools in the Area
Located inside the neighborhood, across from the Food Lion shopping center, is East Clayton Elementary School. Just across Buffalo Road is River Dell Elementary School, for another viable schooling choice. Riverwood Elementary and Middle Schools are located just north of Flowers Plantation, and Clayton High School is a few minutes’ drive west.
