North Ridge: More than a great country club

On the far north end of Raleigh, NC is the fabulous North Ridge Country Club. The North Ridge subdivision also sits among the greens and bunkers, and is one of the finest neighborhoods in the city.

Living the high life in North Ridge

House prices can vary widely in this area, ranging anywhere from $200,000 in the northwestern part of North Ridge, to as much as $1.5 million for luxurious houses right on the course. This area is both quiet, and very safe. Sitting in the midst of the Research Triangle, there are plenty of jobs in the high-tech and educational sectors.

Millbrook High is the local high school; part of the Wake County Public School District, which is one of the best in America. If you prefer private education, there are many excellent private schools as well. For higher education, the Research Triangle can’t be beat, with such great colleges as Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University.

Hospitals are plentiful in the region, and with Interstate 540 just to the north, it’s easy to get anywhere you need to go.

The city provides trash and water services, and also offers the CAT mass transit service. Parks are plentiful in the many hills, with the enormous Millbrook Exchange Park and Community Center just south of this exquisite neighborhood.

Enjoying everything that Raleigh offers

Raleigh and the entire Research Triangle is filled with exciting things to enjoy. If you’re a shopaholic, Triangle Town Center is close by, and there are numerous shopping centers, malls, and boutiques in Raleigh. If you love museums, Raleigh has plenty of them, such as North Carolina Museum of Art, the Raleigh City Museum, and North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

If art and culture are your interests, Raleigh has plenty of art galleries, theaters, and excellent clubs and restaurants. If you’re looking for the best places for kids, try Kidventurez in Wake Forest, or the Marbles Kids Museum downtown.

If you prefer the outdoors, the Raleigh area is perfect. William B. Umstead State Park sits in the foothills northwest of town, and offers excellent fishing, hiking, and horseback riding for you to enjoy. Over in Chapel Hill the North Carolina Botanical Garden has hundreds of plant species to observe, and there are many nature preserves nearby. And on the NCSU campus, the JC Raulston Arboretum is one of the most critically acclaimed gardens in the southeast.
