The first key to selling for the highest price possible is starting early. I’m working with many people right now that want to sell their home before the end of the year, and I am also working with another group of sellers who are preparing their homes for market early next year. Starting in advance will allow you to do things like a pre-inspection, and the critical home staging that is needed for professional photography.
Another important thing is working with an agent who understands that timing is critical in real estate. You don’t want your home to get the dreaded “old listing” label, so the first month or two your home is on the market are critical in getting it sold. The agent you work with also needs to understand that your home needs to make a grand entrance to the marketplace.
