The town of Cary prides itself on its education system. Their public high school, Cary High, has been recognized as one of the top high schools in the state of North Carolina. Less than half of a mile away from Birklands is Penny Road Elementary School, a public school for grades K-5. Other public schools in the nearby vicinity include the following:

Cary’s tree-lined streets and beautifully landscaped parks almost make you forget that you are situated so close to such impressive facilities and amenities. With 20 public parks and 20 miles of natural walking trails, Cary residents don’t need to go far to enjoy the outdoors.

Less than one mile from the Birklands neighborhood is the Stevens Nature Center, a nature preserve with three miles of nature trails and a wide array of wildlife. Harold D. Ritter Park, also less than a mile away, features two baseball fields, a biking area, and a playground.

Cary’s entertainment options can be enjoyed by the whole family or reserved for a romantic evening. With Koka Booth Amphitheatre less than a mile away, you can enjoy outdoor concerts and movies. The nearby Cary Arts Center also provides music as well as other performing arts entertainment.
